Down The Memory Lane
(c) Shilpa Sandesh
Looking behind,
The moments that are past,
Fervent and profound,
Reigning this heart;
A dandled childhood,
coddled and pampered,
Seems like dreams entangled,
Still to be unraveled;
The spring of youth,
Adolescence conquered,
He snapped out of imaginations,
And became her Love's aspiration;
A cherished bond,
Nurtured with devotion,
Sweetened with the tinge,
Of respect and affection;
Turmoils came,
And brought with it,
Dejection and sadness,
Tirade and blames;
But nothing's forever,
Not even the pains,
The chiding's bedim,
Happiness reframed,
Her soul has settled,
The anguish is tamed,
And nothing she feels,
As she looks,
Down the memory lane!
Looking behind,

Fervent and profound,
