Turning into a Stone

(c) Shilpa Sandesh

Never did she write poetry,
Like she does now,
For she has been frenzied,
Insane in love,
And she remains to be so,
The roads converged,
When she threw the pebbles in water,
The water answered back with ripples,
When she stood with arms open in the wind,
The winds bathed her in return,
When she kissed the flower bud,
It turned into a flower, like kissing her,
And this moment,
The aura changed,
The road seems to be diverging,
Wind seems to come to a halt,
The bud dried up,
The water stood still,
And when she said, I love you,
He said,
Nothing,
And she finally resumes,
Turning into a stone.................
