Appease My Aching Soul

Ask me How I am,
I'll answer I am fine, 
But know the truth my love,
At all the given time, You rule my mind,

When I feel cold at night,
Shivers in the cloudy twilight,
I wrap my arms around me,
And close my eyes,
For all I wish at that moment,
Is to rest my head on your chest,
And be covered in your embrace,

Yes, I wake up every night,
Startled and stunned,
At the sound of your voice,
And I fail to go back to sleep,
For the missing soars up high,

I spend all my day,
Wishing for the dusk to rise,
For then one more day shall pass,
A step closer on the path,
That leads to you,

Read my mind if you can,
Have a glimpse of my heart,
I am dying every moment,
Without your words, without your voice,
Without the sound of your laughs,
Each moment is a struggle with life,

If you love me my beloved heart,
Soothe my agonized heart,
Appease my aching soul,
'Cause life is worthless without you....

(c) Shilpa Sandesh Born a free soul, With wings to fly, Bound she stands, Entwined in compromises Tethered are her hands with the strings of liabilities, Muddled are her steps, in the lashes of limits and boundaries; She loved once , with all her heart, The tenderness and fondness, that's doomed today; She smiles when she's sad, And cries when happy; The tiny wonder, Is her sole sustenance, All that she has won, as the fruit of love; An emotional fool, And destiny's blunder, She calls herself, The hell's wonder; She craves for that warmth, that unconditional love, A whim for those vows, a desire for that embrace, And, In the hands of time, A puppet she is, In the fate's haze!
