Lulling You to Sleep
Beloved,
Did you speak with me?
Convey if I am right, in the fashion your 'wisdom' approves you of,
And if you did, here is my lullaby for you,
I am the voice you seek, let me surround your being,
I am the bird, at the window, near which, you silently try to sleep,
I am the soul, which on your left, gazes your semblance through the night,
As it quietly weeps,
Sleep, my sweet soul,
Sleep with the belief, that it is you, who makes me whole,
Let my voice caress your being, and bathe your existence with the true love's gleam,
And as the morrow's Sun rises, You must, for me, sing,
Sleep, my sweet precious,
Worry not for the haste, 'cause hastened steps lead to falls,
But steady ones, come with a promise of promises being fulfilled,
Sleep, my sweet beloved,
With the confessions which arise from the depths of my heart and soul,
Contemplate not, beyond the nature's gift of rumination,
Be at peace, for I am still breathing, for I still exist,
Sleep, and if you may, lull me too to sleep....
