Iele and the Wizard

She lives in the sky,
in the caves and the forests,
she breathes the vivid mountain air,
and as the misty twilight rises,
Iele sways in a splendid Helenic flair,
bathing in the frosty waters,
of the pristine mountain springs,
she woos a distant wizard,
when she flutters her nymph wings,
Far way from across the seas,
He gazes her form,
soaked in the winter's breeze,
she whirls and she swirls,
her unclad silhouette,
her docility sheathed,
'neath her long tangled hair,

You shall see her frame,
against the dimming sky,
as she coyly hides in the mist,
from his poignant prying eyes

He swings his wand,
and utters the magical words,
and through the dense haze,
Iele saw him appear,

The stars came falling,
and the winds stood still,
the Naiads began singing,
In love's engaging thrill,

Iele and the wizard,
were clutched,
In the clenching grip of passion,
their fingers entwined,
and the forms recoiled,
they made love,
from the twilight,
until the moonlight,

And they lay upon the dewy grass,
two wearied bodies,
two unsated souls........
