As the Dusk Falls Again

(c) Shilpa Sandesh

And the dusk falls again,
Bearing the dark clouds,
Ready to pour down the impassioned rain;

Reposing by the window,
Sighs she, counting the nights and days,
Striving to advance the clock ticking slow;

Moon be the only solace,
For her luck is seas apart,
And the destiny has a mired pace;

Strong are the peripherals of perseverance,
Constituting a delightful wait,
Soon they shall savour, the sweet fruit of forbearance;

The setting sun marks,
That she is a step closer,
And they would step in the ardor's transcendental arc;

The impatient heart and patient mind's brawl,
So the musing deepens,
As the dusk falls again....
