The Long Wait

(c) Shilpa Sandesh

Walking over the floating stones,
Savouring the surrounding serenity,
I stumble and slip in the lake,
That's the long wait ;

Gliding over the mountains,
Cold with the love's wind,
I abruptly decend, an arrow injures my wings,
Oh a long wait ;

Sailing in the blue seas,
Smiling as the Dolphins spin,
The ship begins to sink,
So is the long wait ;

But what's given,
Has to be received too,
So with a faint smile,
Here, I shall wait....
