The Verse of Winning

(c) Shilpa Sandesh

A road not taken,
A path unsought,
Neither did you measure it,
Nor did I walked upon,
Predestined was the route,
That was meant to be taken ;
The attempts to solo journeys,
Have been failures,
Because the success called,
For the two of us to meet,
And here we are,
Upon the roughest of the rough roads,
Riding in the wagon,
Of perseverance and hardwork,
To Traverse,
The valleys of disappointments,
Dare the rains of fates' darts,
Climb the lofty mountains,
Of our zenith,
And soon we shall win,
And the moment we would celebrate,
By penning a verse,
Two hands, one pen, entwined words,
A poesy on the sands of time,
Odes we would write,
As we sit together in each others embrace,
Sipping our morning tea....
