Stars on You And Me

(c) Shilpa Sandesh

The shivery winter morning,
As I reside curled up in the blanket,
Pleasantly warm,
I raise my hand to flip away,
The hair strands which fall on my cheek,
A mole on my arm grabs my sight,
And I sigh,
Where are you my beloved,
Why so far,
When this moment is meant,
To be cuddled in each others arms,
When you would say,
"Let me see the constellations,
Of all the black and brown stars,
Which speak of delightful passion,
Let me count all those wonders"
To which then I would smile,
A smile, I can't help but bite my lip,
A smile which speaks,
The language of my eyes,
The language that your eyes alone can understand,
And I then I would utter,
" My sweetest,
These stars are meant to be reckoned,
Not with eyes,
But with the lips,
And meant to be tasted,
Not with the raising heart beats alone,
But with the moist tongue,
So while you savour my beauty spots,
Let me sapor yours"

Good morning my beloved!
