As The Twilight Calls

(c) Shilpa Sandesh

As the twilight calls,
And the tranquility fills,
My frame shudders,
With the soul's shrills,
A discordant noise,
Yearning for thy closeness,
A screeching voice,
Longing for your warmth and tenderness,
My sweetest,
How long do I repose alone?
When thou shall be along?
