I Need You....
(c) Shilpa Sandesh
Are you asleep my beloved?
I know, to sleep has become,
Like the world's toughest task,
Shedding the imposed material masks
We both are now,
captives for lives,
In the ethereal prison of Love;
The confinement amidst,
Radiant blissful florets,
Efflorescence bestowed,
By abundance of adoration,
Plethora of passion,
And opulent dreams,
Where the springs of fervor,
Rise to flow towards the heavenly skies,
And the sorrows flow downstream;
Are you rejoiced my soul?
I know, the joys know no bounds,
But so does the longing sees no confines,
We are like two souls,
Thrilled and euphoric ,
On discovering each other,
But so are we tearful and miserable,
As the distances are sometimes,
Far from bearable;
When the wolves of fate,
Dragged me downhill,
I was numb, numb with the pain,
I fell and strode ahead, fell, and climbed again,
Taking the filth and the waste,
Of the egoistic souls,
Made me overburdened,
And I slipped and fell more;
And just when I was,
To fall down the cliff,
Into the valleys of death,
You held my hand, and pulled me up;
I know not now,
How to walk alone,
I know not,
How to breathe without a purpose,
I know not,
How to survive without being loved,
I know not,
How to live without you my beloved;
So let me be straightforth,
And let me be true,
My seer,
You are all I have,
All that matters to me,
You are my world,
I see the unbound love in you,
So be mine,
You are the love I construe,
My soulmate,
I need you....
